Admissions committee receives 37,000 applications to universities
AMMAN — The Unified Admissions Committee received 37,000 applications to public universities by the end of Monday’s working day, according to Ghaleb Hourani, the committee’s director.
He said applicants may log onto the unified admission website and make any changes to their applications until the end of the application period on Saturday at midnight.
Students who scored 65 per cent and above in the General Secondary School Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) are eligible to compete for seats in 503 subjects at the Kingdom’s nine public universities.
All subjects are applied for online, except 10 that require direct admission to the university such as fine arts, architecture and physical education.
