Amman has a wide array of cultural and artistic programs and talents; the city aims to continuously create and develop unique performance arts that enhance the Amman experience and are logically meant to serve its community and visitors.
Touched by the success, the popular enthusiasm, and favorable media reviews, Mayor Omar Maani is committed to make this cultural venture an annual event to be held every year in December. 

The first ever in the Arab world, the comedic festival was held during the 2nd and 6th of December 2008, with 20 comedians, predominantly Arab-Americans, who felt proud to entertain and teach stand-up comedy (conducting free comedy workshops to youthful Jordanian talents).
